Getting Your Ex Back When Its More Than Just A Rough Patch

By Marie Babka

If you have been trying to win your ex back for any length of time you already know that changing your ex's mind isn't as easy as you thought it was going to be. Maybe you thought that what you were going through was just a rough patch and that it would all blow over. But now you find yourself fighting for your relationship and you're just not sure what is going to help you to win your ex back.

Chances are that you have tried talking with your ex or convincing them that you deserve a second chance. You have used all the normal approaches that people suggest such as being nice and accomodating and making the necessary changes to overcome your ex's objections to getting back together but nothing seems to be working. Your ex has broken up with you and you feel like you have no options or way to sway their decision. You are at your wits end but there is hope, you know.

I firmly believe that you do have the ability to get your ex back and that if you are sincere in your desire to change your ex's mind and give your relationship the attention that it deserves then I want you to just chill out for a bit. Right now, you are very emotional about your ex, your breakup and you are probably frantic for a solution that will get them back as soon as possible. The funny thing is that the more frantic you are, the more damage you are probably doing to your chances of getting back together with the one that you love.

Playing things cool and just backing off as quickly as you can will ensure that you preserve your integrity. By backing off you will change your ex's perception of you from being needy and kind of pathetic and, if nothing else, you will not be doing any more damage to your chances to win your ex back. It should make sense to you that until you know what to do to win your ex back you just need to keep your mouth shut to avoid doing any more damage.

In order for you to get your ex back you need to really feel what is going on with your ex. You need to feel empathy. This is often not taken into consideration when you are frantic to win your ex back and it often isn't thought of in much of the popular relationship advice that you will get from friends or family. What you and your ex are going through is very natural if you know anything about relationships and right now your ex probably doesn't want to talk to you or see you but we can change that.

I know that this might sound strange. After all, your ex is the person that loved you and was by your side for so long. But now, they don't want you around and it just doesn't make sense. How can things change so radically and what can you do to turn the tide? Just try not to take the rejection to heart and remember that this is only a temporary thing and it is just a natural relationship dynamic that you have created unknowingly.

It might be difficult for you to believe me but by simply backing off you will improve your chances of winning your ex back while slashing the amount of time it is going to take to get them back. You will be trying to change how your ex looks at you and thinks about you and a little time apart with no influence from you can allow time to wash away part of that bad perception. Meanwhile, you can begin to focus on yourself and changing some things to when it does come time to see your ex again they will fall for you again.

I don't want you to just sit there in your bed continuing to be sad and lonely. You need to rebuild your life so you have a life to share with the one that you love. Your ex isn't going to want to spend time with someone that is sad all the time and you don't want them to take you back because they feel sorry for you. If that were to happen then they would break up with you again once they didn't feel sorry for you anymore. You need to start treating yourself well if you ever hope for your ex to treat you well and fall in love with you again. You need to be happy with yourself and your life before you start thinking about winning your ex back.
