The Various Teachings Of The Episcopal Church In Lake Norman NC

By Joyce Graham

Religion is as old as time. Since the first humans, there has always been religion. Over the millenniums, religion has evolved. For the most part, Abraham is considered the father of faith. Christianity, Islam, and Judaism share one thing in common: Abraham. Judaism inspired Christianity to some extent. The Bible says that Christianity will spread to all the four corners of the world then the end will come. Presently, Christians are everywhere. They are in the Far East and also in the Far West. In the United States of America, some Christians are followers of the Episcopal Church in Lake Norman NC.

It is important to note that all Episcopalian teachings are based on the Bible. A true Christian believes in the supremacy of the Bible. He will not believe in any other book that contradicts the Holy Bible. That is due to the fact that Christianity is a Biblical religion. Its teachings are derived directly from the most holy book that is inspired.

The Bible is 100% true. It is an inspired book that was written over a span of many millenniums. It starts with the Book of Genesis and ends with the Book of Revelation. The Holy Bible has two major testaments. They are the Old and the New Testaments. Prophesies of the old are fulfilled in the New Testament.

A common Episcopalian teaching is concerned with the matter of sin and leaving a sinless life. It is said that all men have sinned and fallen short of glory. That does not mean that one should continue sinning. There is the need to repent of the sins that have been done and subsequently start leading a holy and clean life.

The Episcopal Church also teaches the importance of baptism. One will only become a believer after he has been baptized. This will involve total immersion into water. It can be the water of a river. One will enter the water as an old creature and will come out of it as a new creature. After Baptism, one should be more committed.

The teaching of prayer must never be underestimated at any moment in time. It is important to pray steadfastly and without ceasing. That is the only way that one will get an answer to his prayer. If one wants something, he should ask it in prayer. The prayer of faith will actually heal the sick. It is also advisable to fast.

The Episcopal Church teaches about the afterlife. All Christians should be aware that life is just temporary. Death is a sure thing. No one on earth can manage to live forever. However, death is not the end of it because the soul will live the body and proceed to the afterlife. That is the ultimate Christian truth worth believing in.

It is good to feed the body and to clothe the body in the best manner possible. However, one should remember that both the food and the stomach will be destroyed. Of course, one should care about the physical things but he should not do so at the expense of spiritual matters. That is because, when all is said and done, it is only the spirit that will remain.
