Human Trafficking Resources CA Counseling Children

By Donna Phillips

When it come to child slavery, most are born into, abducted or sold into the system. While unbelievable, there are also individuals and couples which are being paid to have children solely for the purpose of being sold child slavery networks. As such, it is up to those working within these human trafficking resources CA and other locations to rescue and provide counseling and other services to those involved.

Most children involved in child trafficking and the slave trade are under the age of 15. In fact, the average age of a child slave is that of 13. Although, there are many who claim to have been involved since before being able to walk. Current statistics show that more than 20K children under the age of 18 are involved whether involuntarily or voluntarily in the sex trade and child slave industry.

While the life expectancy of girls in this trade range from 7 to 14 years from the date of abduction, there are a few lucky ones. Whether found after being dumped, or having been able to escape, these individuals often need a great deal of counseling, love and support before being able to return to daily life.

The abuses these children are exposed to on a daily basis are horrific, especially for someone so young. Whether being assaulted, raped, imprisoned, tortured, drugged or experiencing severe emotional and physical abuse, it is often too much for one to bear. As such, there are often a high number of suicides amongst those still in, as well as those whom have escaped the trade.

Freeing American Children From Exploitation and Sexual Slavery or FACESS is only one of a number of organizations based in California. For, there are other national and local organizations working to rescue children in California and beyond who have been captured and tortured by these individuals often known as slave masters. Although, the youngest of whom may actually consider these individuals fathers, whether biological or otherwise.

While some have been able to escape, most do not have the capability to do so. In fact, some slaveholders will send a test person in to try and get the girls to escape. After which, if a girl attempts to do so, the child is often beaten in response as a form of punishment. As a result, most often the child becomes disconnected, hardened, angry and isolated, thus trusting no one.

While most often these young slaves are girls, a few boys have also been taken into the system. However, it is most often girls who are born into the system. For example, a slaveholder will hire a woman to bear a female child, then upon birth of that child she is given back to the slaveholder who may or may not be the birth father. For, these criminals have even hired couples to give birth then return a child into the trade for a small amount of pay.

As such, it is up to these organizations and those involved with the lost and missing to try and rescue these children. Although, without the help of the public also speaking out against these crimes and taking action, especially if seeing something out of place, there remains little hope for the salvation of those lost in the system.
