As such, you should have unique save the dates items that will make your invitation memorable. Such items also make the invitation personal which builds anticipation for the big day.

Choose a uniquely shaped card. Shapes have a way of creating a lasting impression in the mind. Keep away from ordinary rectangular shapes and create a distinct card for your day. Make it easier to pin or place at a conspicuous place by including a hook, base or hanging thread. Make it as distinct as possible such that it stands out among other invitation cards.

Include a caricature on your card. Use a real picture to draw the couple in an inimitable mood. It makes your invitation different and memorable. You may add an ornament like a flower or let the couple engage in a dance. Use the theme of your wedding in the background and include words that are in line with your images. Do not stuff the drawing with a lot of unnecessary images that it appears like a joke.

A classic car with flowers will perfectly present your mood. This is a distinct departure from the use of clip arts and words to pass the message. The picture should be professionally assimilated into the invitation.

Include a detachable sticker on the card. Stickers are used as reminders of important appointments in offices and homes. They are stuck on boards, computers, desks, walls, etc. Borrow this idea and include a sticker as part of your invitation. It makes the invitation conspicuous and memorable. Ensure that the sticker provides crucial information like the date and venue of your big day.

There is magic in art. Cards are common and are usually discarded after the wedding or easily forgotten before. However, artistic objects like embossed cups, bracelets, flags, sculptures, etc will remain in the memory of invited guests. It is impossible for a person to discard a flag or cup even after the wedding is over. Such objects remain with your guests and will come in handy when you are having your anniversary.

Do you have friends who speak and understand different languages? Consider a card or cards written in multiple languages. This is a perfect idea when your friends come from different nationalities and speak multiple languages. It is easier to accommodate them by printing a multilingual card. The card also feels personal since everyone can read. When the message is printed on a single card, it will be cost effective.

What of an audio or video? Technology has allowed people to make digital invitations. Maybe you have no addresses of most of your friends. It is also time consuming to drop cards from door to door. Consider inviting friends by attaching an audio or video to their social media handles. It gives them an opportunity to replay the invitation over and over. Some may also use it as a ringing tone on their phones.
