How Astrology Affects Long Distance And Internet Relationships

By Lou Raedwulfe

The start of fall brings warmth to the heart, images of sun-kissed memories by the ocean, and the heat and passion of hot summer nights are our fondest of memories. As the impact of social media continues to explode across the globe, long distance romances have increased dramatically. Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, and a host of other outlets have brought people together from locations far and wide. As plans to finally meet, or to reconnect as part of the long awaited fall vacation are made, astrological forces are in play that may make this last quarter of the year of love a lot more chaotic than might be first imagined.

Your mind may seem somewhat foggy as the fall progresses, especially in the area of relationships. We will have had three eclipses by the time Dec. comes and Mercury the Messenger begins another retrograde on Oct 21. so, if you have already made plans, be prepared to change them, as things may not go quite as smoothly as planned.

Be careful not to rush into romance at the drop of a hat. Stop and consider that things might be going too fast, even though you may feel that the love of your life has just dropped into your scene. Just take things slower than you normally would. Long-distance relationships will be affected by Neptune in retrograde and later by Mercury in retrograde, so, take it one step at a time for a couple of months when reality will become more clear.

Yet, during the Neptune retrograde period, the Neptunian influence can take on a far different aspect in affairs of the heart. With space and time a factor, as is the case for many long distance internet relationships, the negative aspects of Neptune come in to play far too often. Emotions become clouded and delusions over take us as to the reality of things can result in our choosing to ignore our intuitive side and proceed blindly.

Neptune in retrograde can cause us to feel overly emotional, confused and almost manic at times. You may feel out of sorts with a current long-distance relationship during this period. Don't let your images of what you 'think' may be happening, (or not), distort the reality of the situation at hand. Now is not the time to make major decisions regarding your relationship. Let some time pass, and you may find that the light at the end of the tunnel is not a freight train after all.

Even thought you may feel unsteady in the relationship, just take things day by day and don't assume things that may or may not be happening. The chances are you are not being deceived and things will look much different to you in a few weeks. That being said, Mercury retrograde in October to throw a monkey wrench into the best of relationships. You are not alone here, so, bide your time. Untimely decisions could cause a stable relationship off kilter.

So, what should fall lovers do? Clearly, this is the time of year to spend quality time with your heart's interest. Equally important, if this is a regular meeting or the culmination of a long distance encounter that seems to have bloomed into something quite special. Although hearts, minds and bodies are clamoring to fulfill the promise of finally bridging the miles, it is important to remember that things may not go as smoothly or as planned especially during Mercury retrograde beginning in late October.

While there will be some endings, possibly in late Oct., they may be for the best. You might find that just ending a certain subject that you always seem to fight about is a good thing. New beginnings will start to freshen up your after you pass the rough spots that you may face. Keep your chin up as all is not lost.

You may find that, if someone will lend and ear, you will pick up some valuable information regarding your long distance relationship. Because things are not what they seem right now, doesn't mean you have to end it. Be brave enough to tell someone about it. A good hair dresser or someone who is experienced at psychic readings will surely give you some advice you will not soon forget.
